Hans-Uwe Emeis (born January 19, 1931 in Kiel ; † July 31, 1996 in Satrup ) was a German SPD politician . As a non-attached MP, he was a member of the German Bundestag from 1975 to 1976 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1952 in Kappeln , Emeis completed a teaching degree at the Flensburg University of Education . In 1954 he passed the first and in 1959 the second state examination for teaching at elementary schools. From 1961 he studied physics, chemistry and sports in Kiel. After passing the examination for teaching at secondary schools in 1962, he worked as a primary, secondary and secondary school teacher.

Emeis joined the SPD in 1961. In 1962 he was elected to the board of the SPD district association Dithmarschen, as its chairman from 1970 to 1971. From 1971 to 1973 he was a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein .

Emeis was a community representative in Albersdorf from 1965 to 1971 and a member of the district council of the Dithmarschen district . In the state elections in 1971 and 1975 , he ran as a direct candidate for the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament , but won no mandate. During his candidacy in 1975, he claimed at election rallies, contrary to a letter he had received on request from the Federal Ministry of Transport , that the "green light" had been given to cross the Kiel Canal near Brunsbüttel . Federal Minister Kurt Gscheidle had informed him, however, that this “would not be possible in the foreseeable future for reasons of cost”.

On December 8, 1975, Emeis replaced the late MP Friedrich Beermann in the German Bundestag via the SPD's state list , but did not become a member of the SPD parliamentary group . Since he did not renounce his parliamentary mandate, the state arbitration commission of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein initiated an exclusion procedure and expelled him from the party in February 1976. At the end of the 1976 electoral term, Emeis resigned from the Bundestag. Finally, the Brunsbüttel crossing of the Kiel Canal was realized in the early 1980s with the construction of the Brunsbüttel high bridge .
