Hans Christoph Freiherr Tucher von Simmelsdorf

Hans Christoph Freiherr Tucher von Simmelsdorf (born September 24, 1904 in Schönbühl near Lindau , † August 11, 1968 in London ) was a German lawyer and bank manager.

Career

Tucher came from one of the most famous families of the Nuremberg patriciate , the Tucher von Simmelsdorf . He studied law . He then worked as a lawyer in England and France and then returned to Bavaria.

Between 1959 and 1968 he was the spokesman for the board of directors of Bayerische Vereinsbank , member of the supervisory board of Siemens & Halske AG, Allianz Versicherungs-AG , Vereinsbank in Hamburg and Norddeutsche Kreditbank AG . He was a banker and confidante of the first Federal President, Theodor Heuss .

From July 5, 1936, Baron Tucher was a member of the board of directors of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum . On July 17, 1946 he was its second chairman and on January 31, 1964 chairman of the board of directors.

He was a co-founder of the German-English Society.

The Tucherpark in Munich was named after him.
