Hans Fröder

Johann "Hans" Fröder (born November 2, 1918 in Friesenheim , † December 13, 1997 in Mainz ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Fröder was born on November 2, 1918 in Friesenheim as the son of Lorenz Fröder and Ella, born Baumgartner was born. After attending elementary school in Friesenheim as well as grammar school and the higher commercial school in Mainz, he did Reich labor service from 1939 and then took part in the Second World War as a soldier until 1945 . After the end of the war, he embarked on a career as a civil servant in the higher service, which he ended as chief tax inspector. Afterwards he worked as a winemaker.

In 1945 Fröder was one of the founders of the CDU and the Junge Union in the Mainz district . He was initially chairman of the CDU district association Mainz and from 1969 deputy chairman of the CDU district association Mainz-Bingen. His party political focus was on social policy. From 1952 to 1960 he was a member of the local council and from 1952 to 1956 an alderman in Friesenheim. In 1952 he was elected to the district council of the Mainz district and from 1960 was also a member of the district committee. After the regional reforms in Rhineland-Palatinate , he was a district deputy for the Mainz-Bingen district .

On September 1, 1963, Fröder replaced Hermann Matthes, who had been appointed State Secretary, in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, to which he belonged until 1975 without interruption. In the state elections in 1967 and 1971 he was elected from the CDU state list. In parliament he was a member of the Social Policy Committee from 1963 to 1967, a member of the Petitions Committee from 1963 to 1971, a member of the Committee on Administrative Reform from 1967 to 1975 and a member of the Budget and Finance Committee from 1971 to 1975.

Hans Fröder was married and had three children.
