Hans Hörler

Hans Hörler (born December 15, 1905 in Kirchschlag in the Bucklige Welt , † May 23, 1969 in Krems an der Donau ) was a Lower Austrian pedagogue, state school inspector and author .

Life

Hans Hörler grew up in Kirchschlag and completed his training as a primary school teacher in Krems an der Donau . In the interwar period he taught in the elementary school Seebarn am Wagram . He later became a teacher in Maria Laach am Jauerling , district school inspector in the Gänserndorf district and finally state school inspector in Lower Austria. In addition to his pedagogical work, he was the author of numerous books with a focus on pedagogy and history, at the same time doing his doctorate in history at the University of Vienna . In 1961 he got theLower Austrian Culture Prize awarded. Some of his works were only published after his death in 1969.

After him, the Dr. Hans Hörler-Straße in St. Pölten and the Dr. Hans-Hörler-Gasse in Gänserndorf.
