Hans Jüchser (born July 14, 1894 in Chemnitz , † August 13, 1977 in Dresden ) was a German painter and graphic artist .

The 1894-born son of a family of teachers Jüchser visited after primary school from 1910 to 1915, the teacher training college in Stollberg / Erzgeb. and after his participation in World War I studied from 1919 to 1923 at the Dresden Academy of Applied Arts with Arno Drescher and Georg Erler . He then deepened his training at the art academy there until 1928 , where he became a master student of Otto Hettner and Ludwig von Hofmann . During this time, Jüchser went on a study trip to southern Sweden and Bornholm in 1927.

From 1920 to 1934 Jüchser was a member of the Dresden Artists' Association , from 1930 to 1932 also the Association of Revolutionary Visual Artists (ASSO), from 1932 to 1934 the Dresden Secession in 1932 and from 1934 of the " Circle of Seven ".

In 1937 six of his exhibited paintings were removed from the public and destroyed . After a study trip to Italy in 1939, Jüchser was drafted in 1940 and did not return to Dresden until 1949 from captivity .

Between 1950 and 1977 Jüchser created a work of oil painting, watercolor, monotypes and graphics, including works on the Bible, such as the drafts for the glass windows of the Luther House on the Anger von Altkötzschenbroda in Radebeul . There were also exhibitions in the municipal art collections in Chemnitz in 1960, in Pillnitz Castle in 1961 and in the art collections in Weimar in 1977. Jüchser died in Dresden in 1977. His grave with a sculpture by Friedrich Press is in the Loschwitz cemetery .
