Hans Jendersie

Hans Max Jendersie (born April 10, 1915 in Chwallowitz near Rybnik , † August 1, 2003 in Freiberg ) was a German mining engineer and university professor.

Hans Jendersie came from an old family of miners from the Upper Silesian coal field. In 1935 he passed the Abitur. He then worked in various machine factories and mines and from 1936 studied mining at the TH Breslau . From 1939 to the beginning of 1945 he served in World War II , after which he worked at the TH Breslau as an assistant to Helmut Kirchberg . On January 22, 1945 the Institute for Mining Science and Processing was transferred to the Bergakademie Freiberg , and in 1946 Jendersie became a scientific assistant to Werner Gründer.

From 1947 Hans Jendersie worked for several years in the East German potash industry. He was technical director at the Volkenroda potash works and mine director at the Dorndorf potash works . In 1957 he was awarded the title of Honored Miner of the German Democratic Republic .

In 1959 he accepted a position as a research assistant at the chair for processing at the Weimar University of Architecture and Construction . Two years later he went back to the Freiberg Mining Academy, where he was appointed professor of mining science. Between 1968 and 1972 he worked at the Geotechnical and Mining Section as Deputy Section Director for Research, and also headed the mining / civil engineering teaching group. In 1969 he was appointed full professor for mining / civil engineering. From 1974 he headed the mining / civil engineering department and from 1976 the mining / civil engineering department. After his retirement in 1980, Hans Jendersie devoted himself increasingly to the art of wood carving . His favorite subjects were working miners and Saint Barbara .
