Hans Kienesberger

Hans Kienesberger , also Johann Kienesberger (* 1948 in Gmunden ; † February 3, 2019 ) was an Austrian painter , draftsman , photographer , sculptor and object artist .

Live and act

Kienesberger began his artistic work in 1966. Together with Walter Pilar and Peter Putz , he founded the Bildmanufactur Traunsee in 1978 and published the text collection Der Traunseher from 1978 to 1981 . He lived and worked in Gmunden and was a member of the Gmundner Kunstmeile and the IG Bildende Kunst . From 1986 he belonged to the artists' association MAERZ .

He was the winner of Geist und Form VII of the state of Vorarlberg (1976) and the price of the state of Salzburg at the Austrian graphic competition (1984). He received the Theodor-Körner-Förderpreis in 1981 and in 1995 took advantage of the Cracow Scholarship of the Federal Ministry for Education and Art and in 2000 the Český Krumlov Scholarship of the Province of Upper Austria.

Works can be found in the Graphic Collection Albertina Vienna , in the Lentos Art Museum Linz , in the Upper Austrian State Gallery , in the Rupertinum Salzburg and in the Egon Schiele Art Centrum , Krumau.
