Hans Kogler (born February 8, 1642 in Schliersee ; † May 27, 1702 in Erding ) was a German bricklayer and master builder who, as Erdinger's city ​​mason, built numerous baroque churches in Erdinger Land.

Life

Like his father Kaspar, Hans Kogler belonged to a family of master masons originally from Schliersee , who appointed the Erdingen master masons from 1649 to 1729 after the Thirty Years' War . After his death, his son Anton took over the office until his death in 1729. Anton's widow then married Johann Baptist Lethner (1700–1782), who was the next Erdinger city mason to build more than twenty churches. Then Mathias Rösler, who came from Vienna and married into the family, continued the tradition until 1808.
