Hans Kugler (botanist)
Hans Kugler (born October 7, 1903 in Eichstätt , † July 28, 1985 in Munich ) was a German botanist.
Life
After attending the Luitpold and Wilhelms Gymnasium (Abitur 1923) in Munich , Kugler studied at the Technical University and the University of Munich , where he did his doctorate under Karl Ritter von Goebel . In 1928/29 he was an assistant with a teaching position with Ernst Küster at the Ludwigs-Universität Gießen ; there he researched the flower ecology of the red - fruited bryan beet . From 1929 he was teacher at St. Benno-Gymnasium in Dresden , from 1937 in Schweinfurt . From 1952 he taught at the Maximiliansgymnasium in Munich .
In addition to his work as a teacher, Kugler did private research on flower-ecological issues, for example the influence of sap marks on flowers on flower visits by insects. In 1953 he became a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina .
