Hans Lechner (* 1898 ; † 1968 in Tutzing ) was a German politician and mayor of Freising from 1942 to 1945 .

Life

The convinced National Socialist Hans Lechner became SA-Obersturmbannführer in Freising in 1933 and thus commander of the local SA . That year he was appointed "Special Commissioner for the City and District of Freising". After posting his predecessor as NSDAP - district leader of Munich he became 1942 Mayor of Freising. He held this office until the end of the war in 1945, when American troops took the city on April 29. For a short time they appointed Andreas Rasch as his successor, who was replaced by Emil Berg on May 2nd . Nothing is known about his life after the war; he died in Tutzing in 1968 .
