Hans Meyer (architect)
Hans Meyer (born October 20, 1867 in Regensburg , † December 31, 1949 in Gießen ) was a German architect .
Life
Hans Meyer worked independently in Gießen between 1891 and 1945, initially from 1891 to 1905 together with Jacob Stein in the architecture firm Stein & Meyer . Numerous buildings were built for clients such as Georg Becker or Gottlieb Nauheim, often in collaboration with master bricklayer Johann Georg Pfaff or the Birkenstock & Schneider construction business.
The future architect Georg Wellhausen was an apprentice at Stein & Meyer from 1913 to 1916 .
In the last year of his life he was in charge of the construction of the Pankratius Chapel in Giessen .
