Hans Roselieb

Hans Roselieb (born October 19, 1884 in Hagen-Eilpe , † April 2, 1945 in Holtfeld near Borgholzhausen ) was a German writer . He also wrote under the pseudonyms Firmin Coar and Konrad Siebel .

Life

Hans Roselieb was the son of a bailiff . He grew u. a. in Wiedenbrück and completed a commercial training in Hamm . Subsequently, an extensive wandering life for several years led him to France and Spain . He then lived as a freelance writer in Münster . Roselieb took 1945 lives .

Hans Roselieb's literary work includes novels , short stories , travelogues , essays and plays . His early work, which was shaped by Catholicism , can be attributed to Expressionism . During the Nazi era he published a. a. the propaganda novel Bleeding Summer , in which the events of the Spanish Civil War are portrayed from a fascist perspective; However, the focus of Roselieb's work was on the attempt to compose modern plays in the style of the ancient choral tragedy .
