Hans Sappeur

Hans Sappeur (born December 25, 1897 in Pontresina , † January 7, 1987 in Orselina ) was a Swiss politician ( LdU ).

Life

Sappeur attended the commercial school in Zurich and trained as an industrial clerk in Genoa , Düsseldorf and Bogotá . He became head of a construction company, and from 1934 to 1949 a cardboard factory . From 1934 to 1947 he was director of the Sabina cooperative . From 1947 to 1949 he was head of personnel at the Migros Cooperative Federation . In 1937 he was a co-founder of the Landesring der Independencies , in 1942 professional chairman (president of the cantonal party) and from 1948 regional chairman (president of the Swiss party). From 1938 to 1943 he was a councilor in Zurich (from 1941 to 1942 he was its president). From 1943 to 1951 he was a member of the National Council . From 1949 to 1958 he was a city councilor in Zurich . As the head of the education office, Sappeur devoted himself above all to the expansion of the special educational auxiliary school and the language therapy kindergartens. Sappers were valued for their conciliatory nature.
