Hansjörg Bräumer

Hansjörg Bräumer (born April 9, 1941 ) is a German Protestant theologian, lecturer, head of the diaconal Lobetalarbeit and author.

Life

After finishing school, Bräumer studied Protestant theology in Neuendettelsau , Hamburg , Heidelberg and Göttingen . Afterwards he was a lecturer in Hebrew at the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau for three years . In 1972 he received his doctorate with his dissertation on August von Arnswald at the University of Göttingen. He then headed the action and reflection center in Breklum and, from 1977, the Lobetalarbeit , a diaconal institution in Celle that is close to the German Evangelical Alliance . In 2004 he was replaced in this position by his son Carsten. He wrote several books and treatises, including various volumes of the commentary series Wuppertaler Studienbibel .

In 2004 Bräumer received the Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Private

Hansjörg Bräumer is married to Rosemarie. The couple has 3 children and retired from Celle.
