Hansjörg Hassler

Hansjörg Hassler (born September 23, 1953 in Donat GR ) is a Swiss politician ( BDP Graubünden ). The farmer was elected to the National Council for the Graubünden SVP in the 1999 elections and was a member of it until November 29, 2015. During his time in the National Council, Hassler was a member of the “National Council Commission for Social Security and Health” (SGK) from 1999 to 2007. From December 2007 until the end of his membership in the National Council, he was a member of the “Commission for Economics and Taxes” (WAK) of the National Council. Since the exclusion of SVP Graubünden from SVP Switzerland , Hassler has been a member of the newly founded BDP Graubünden.

Before that, he was politically active at the local and cantonal level. 1977–1995 he was a member of the community board of Donat GR , from 1985 to 1995 as mayor. From 1994 to 2000 he was Grisons Grand Councilor for the Schams district . From 1997 to 2000 he chaired the Graubünden SVP.

Hansjörg Hassler was President of the Graubünden Farmers' Association from 2003 to 2015 and President of the Swiss Alpine Association from 2006 to 2014. In addition, Hassler was a board member of the Swiss Working Group for Mountain Regions until 2012 and was also a member of the board of the Swiss Farmers' Association until 2013.

Hassler is married and has three adult children.
