The Hapoel Akko FC ( Hebrew הפועל עכו Hapoel Akko , known outside of Germany primarily as Hapoel Acre FC ) is an Israeli football club in the port city of Akko in the north of the country .
history
The club, founded in 1946, played for a long time in lower leagues until he was promoted to the highest Israeli league in the 1970s, to which Hapoel belonged for two years. After relegation in 1978, the club again led a shadowy existence until 2009, after about 30 years of abstinence, with a second place in the Leumit league, the return to first class .
