Harald Bielfeld (born June 14, 1863 in Sprottau , † September 15, 1933 in Arnstadt ) was a German politician ( NLP , DDP ).

Life

Harald Bielfeld was the son of the royal government conductor, surveyor and later tax adviser Heinrich Ludwig Ernst Bielfeld and his wife Eliza Johanne Mermine, born. Christensen. Bielfeld attended the French School and then the Victoria High School in Potsdam, where he graduated from high school in 1883. From 1883 to 1888 he studied history, later economics and law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel , the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin and the University of Leipzig . In Leipzig he completed his history studies in 1887 with a doctorate to become Dr. phil. from. On October 1, 1888, he passed the first state examination in law in Berlin before serving as a one-year volunteer with the "von Manstein" infantry regiment (Schleswigsches) No. 84 . After his legal clerkship in the district of the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court , on October 4, 1893, he also passed the Second State Examination in Law at the Higher Regional Court and became a court assessor. From 1893 he was a magistrate's assistant in Schleswig .

Bielfeld, who was Protestant-Lutheran, married Elsbeth Dorothea Agnes Tosca Janke on June 23, 1894 in Potsdam-Sanssouci (born November 15, 1870 in Bromberg ). The diplomat Harald Bielfeld (1895–1980) emerged from the marriage.

On January 23, 1894 Bielfeld was elected mayor of Arnstadt. He held this office from March 15, 1894 to March 31, 1928. Since August 7, 1895, he held the title of Lord Mayor . After his departure as mayor, he retired. He was a member and in October 1912 Thuringian state chairman of the National Liberal Party.

From June 22, 1905 until the November Revolution , he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen for the NLP. There he was from November 22, 1907 to November 20, 1911 State Parliament Syndic and from November 20, 1911 to January 26, 1919 President of the State Parliament. After the elections on January 26, 1919, he was re-elected to the state parliament for the DDP. From February 25 to April 1, 1919, he was vice-president of the state parliament. After the state was dissolved, he remained a member of the regional council until March 31, 1923.

On November 12, 1918 Bielfeld became a member of the Landesrat, the provisional government of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen . He was then from April 1, 1919 to April 1, 1922 a member of the Ministry of the Free State of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen and the Sondershausen regional government.

After the establishment of the Free State of Thuringia , he was a member of the People's Council of Thuringia from December 16, 1919 to July 20, 1920, as a member of the Free State of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen (DDP). In Cabinet Paulssen I and Cabinet Paulssen II he was a (non-civil servant) State Councilor for Sondershausen from 10/12. November 1920 to October 6, 1921 and from May 7, 1929 to January 22, 1930.

From 1894 to 1933 Bielfeld was a member of the Amstadt Museum Society, from 1930 to 1933 as chairman. From 1897 to 1928 he was a board member of the Thuringian City Association. In 1922 he was sent by the Thuringian City Association to the Thuringian Municipal Chamber at the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior. He was chairman of the board of trustees of the Karl Günther Foundation in Sondershausen (1908, 1910, 1913, 1919). He was a member of the Landeskirchentag of the Evangelical Church in Thuringia from 1927 to 1933.
