Harald Laimer (born September 3, 1985 in Gsies ) is a former Italian natural track luge . He started in a two-seater and took part in World Cup races and European championships together with Martin Graf from 2002 to 2004 . At junior world championships he won the gold medal with Michael Graf in 2002 and the silver medal with Alex Innerbichler in 2004 .

Career

At the 2001 European Junior Championships in Tiers , Harald Laimer and his two-year-old partner Martin Graf came fourth. Laimer / Graf made their debut in the World Cup on January 13, 2002 in Umhausen, but only achieved seventh and last place. In the 2001/2002 season this was her only World Cup start. Three weeks later they started at the 2002 European Championships in Frantschach-Sankt Gertraud , where they finished ninth as the penultimate. At the Junior World Championships in Casies in 2002 , Laimer started with Michael Graf in the doubles and won the gold medal with a lead of two hundredths of a second over the Russians Pawel Porschnew and Ivan Lasarew .

In the following season 2002/2003 Graf / Laimer took part in all six World Cup races. They finished in the top five twice and achieved their best career result with fourth place in the parallel competition in Völs . In the overall double-seater World Cup, they finished sixth as the best Italian. However , they did not take part in the 2003 World Cup. They were registered for the competition, but did not start. The next winter , Harald Laimer and Martin Graf only took part in two World Cup races. In Olang and Garmisch-Partenkirchen they each took eighth place, making them 13th in the overall World Cup. This time Laimer competed with Alex Innerbichler at the Junior World Championship in Kindberg . They won the silver medal behind the Austrians Christian and Andreas Schopf . At the 2004 European Championship in Hüttau , which took place a week later , he was back with Martin Graf. They took 13th place out of 16 pairs of two-seater. For both of them this was their last international competition.
