Martin Graf (born February 20, 1982 in Innichen ) is a former Italian natural track luge . He mostly started in a two-seater with Harald Laimer and took part in World Cup races and European championships from 2002 to 2004 .

Career

Martin Graf first took part in a Junior European Championship in 1998 . In Feld am See he achieved eighth place in the two-seater together with Stefan Messner . Two years later he started at the 2000 European Junior Championship in Umhausen in a single-seater and finished twelfth. From 2001 Graf started in a two-seater together with Harald Laimer, who was three years his junior . At the European Junior Championships in 2001 in Tiers , the duo reached fourth place.

Graf / Laimer made their debut in the World Cup on January 13, 2002 in Umhausen, but only achieved seventh and last place. In the 2001/2002 season this was her only World Cup start. Three weeks later they started at the 2002 European Championships in Frantschach-Sankt Gertraud , where they finished ninth as the penultimate. In the following season 2002/2003 Graf / Laimer took part in all six World Cup races. They finished in the top five twice and achieved their best career result with fourth place in the parallel competition in Völs am Schlern . In the overall double-seater World Cup, they finished sixth as the best Italian. However , they did not take part in the 2003 World Cup. They were registered for the competition, but did not start. In the next winter , Martin Graf and Harald Laimer only took part in two World Cup races. In Olang and Garmisch-Partenkirchen they each took eighth place, making them 13th in the overall World Cup. The 2004 European Championship in Hüttau marked the end of their international career , where they finished 13th out of 16 pairs of doubles.
