Harry Hornisch

Harry Hornisch (born November 12, 1929 in Berlin , † August 1, 2006 in Vienna ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Hornisch studied acting at the Mozarteum Salzburg and was seen as a supporting actor in numerous film and television productions from the 1960s . As its first documented film appearance, the film database IMDb has the home film Die Esflucht der weiß Stallste (1963) , which has top-class international cinema stars .

In the film Der Fall Auer / Ranneth - Innocent Behind Bars (1966) the "witness was a police officer". He played the corporal in the first episode of the television series Der Kurier der Kaiserin (1970) . In the fifth, tenth and eleventh episodes of the television series The Adventures of the Good Soldier Schwejk (1972) he played the role of Zwerschina. In the TV movie The Mysterious Stranger (1982) he played the role of Adam Binks.

In the US mini-series Holocaust - The history of the White family , he also had a small role in 1978 as a police officer of the Gestapo .

In addition to numerous television films he starred in the theater production Winnetou and the mystery of the Mountain of Fire and in THEATER GROUP M with. In 1983, Pierre Brice developed the rough draft for Winnetou and the secret of the mountain of fire . The performances took place from November 30th to December 18th 1983 for the 25th anniversary of the Wiener Stadthallenbetriebe in the Wiener Stadthalle with almost 180,000 spectators. Hornisch played there as Karl May .

Harry Hornisch was regularly in the THEATER GROUP M as a theater actor worked and belonged to free Austrian theater scene of the 1980s. He performed with this theater group in Viennese theaters such as the Ateliertheater, the kk Theater, the Moulin Rouge, on the Lower Austria tour, in Studio 35, at the Szene Wien, at the Theater im Konzerthaus and at the Drachengasse Theater . In 1973 and 1974 he worked at the Salzburg Festival as Count von Pembroke in the production The Game of the Mighty II , an adaptation of William Shakespeare's drama Heinrich VI. by director Giorgio Strehler . In 1981 he played Lucky at the Theater bei Auersperg in Vienna in a production of Samuel Beckett's play Warten auf Godot . He was also active in smaller roles in numerous radio plays by Arthur Schnitzler . In 1974 he worked for ORF as a hussar in the radio play production Die Rote Postkutsche by Gyula Krúdy . In 1987 he worked as valet Baptiste in an ORF radio production of the radio play Das Fräulein von Scuderi by ETA Hoffmann . In 1990 he also took on the role of Hypolit Schwamm von Waschhausen in the radio play production of the comedy Kampl by Johann Nestroy at ORF . In 1992 he spoke to the passport officials in the radio play The eternal philistine by Ödön von Horváth .

Hornisch was buried at the Mauer cemetery (group 48, row 5, number 9) in Vienna.
