Harrison Shipp (born November 7, 1991 in Lake Forest , United States ) is an American football player serving as a midfielder . He is currently under contract with Seattle Sounders .

Career

Shipp attended the University of Notre Dame , where he was active for the university selection, the Fighting Irish . In total, he completed 84 games for the Fighting Irish , in which he scored 23 goals.

For the 2014 season of the North American professional league Major League Soccer , Shipp was hired as a homegrown player by the US franchise Chicago Fire . After Victor Pineda and Kellen Gulley, Shipp was the third player in the history of the Chicago Fire club to be signed on the basis of the Homegrown Player Rule .

At Chicago Fire Shipp was able to assert himself as a regular player from the start. In the 2014 season he played 33 games, 26 of them from the start. He scored seven goals. In the following 2015 season he was used again 33 times, in which he scored three more goals. He was also used in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup .

On February 13, 2016, Shipp was signed by the Canadian franchise Montreal Impact in exchange for a transfer fee . He made his debut for Impact on March 6 on the first day of the 2016 season against the Vancouver Whitecaps . In total, he ran for Montreal in 27 league games and two play-off games for the Canadians. He scored two goals.

In December 2016, Shipp was transferred to Seattle Sounders FC . He made his first game on March 11, 2017 against his old club Montreal Impact (final score: 2: 2). In the following game against New York City FC he scored his first goal.
