Youth and amateur football

Meredith went to Monmouth University , for which he also played on the football team. During his senior year in college, he also played in the Premier Development League for the Central Jersey Spartans .

Club career

Meredith was chosen on January 14, 2011 as the eleventh pick in the second round (29th overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the Seattle Sounders . After losing his place as the third goalkeeper in the squad to Josh Ford , he moved back to the Premier Development League for the Kitsap Pumas , for which he completed 14 games before returning to the Seattle Sounders. Meredith made his debut for the Sounders on October 18, 2011 against CF Monterrey in the CONCACAF Champions League . He made his MLS debut on May 2, 2012 against Los Angeles Galaxy when he came on at halftime for the injured Michael Gspurning . On December 14, 2012, the Seattle Sounders announced that they would not renew Meredith's contract.

He then signed a two-year contract with the Swedish first division club IK Brage on December 21, 2012 . After he only played three games there, he moved back to the USA in the same year and signed a contract with the second division club New York Cosmos . Without having played a game for New York, he moved back to Major League Soccer for the San José Earthquakes in January 2014 .

For the season 2017 returned Meredith back to the Seattle Sounders. In three seasons, in addition to an MLS assignment, he was deployed 25 times in the Seattle Sounders 2 farm team ( Tacoma Defiance since 2019 ).

Before the 2020 season , Inter Miami acquired the rights to Meredith, but gave it directly to the Vancouver Whitecaps .
