Hartmut Piniek

Hartmut Piniek (born June 5, 1950 in Wolgast ) is a German painter.

Life

Hartmut Piniek worked as a shipyard welder, theater painter and scientific graphic artist after an apprenticeship as a painter. From 1979 to 1984 he studied painting with Volker Stelzmann , Dietrich Burger and Arno Rink at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art . He then completed a master class with Bernhard Heisig from 1984 to 1987 and taught himself from 1987 to 1998 as an assistant and lecturer for painting at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art .

Hartmut Piniek lives and works in Oelzschau near Leipzig.

The focus of Hartmut Piniek's work is the representation of spacious, atmospheric landscapes from the flyover perspective. These are occupied with fragments of civilization, indeterminate objects and isolated minimized figures.
