Hartmut Wiesner (* 1944 in Sanderbusch , Friesland) is a German painter , sculptor and university lecturer (retired). He lives in Wilhelmshaven .

Life

After graduating from high school in Wilhelmshaven, Hartmut Wiesner studied art history and philosophy at the University of Hamburg from 1965/1966 and from 1966 to 1970 art and art education at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts , where he was a student of Paul Wunderlich , Allen Jones and David Hockney .

After working in school (1970–1977), he had been a professor for art and didactics at the University of Oldenburg since 1978 . In 1984 he received his doctorate. phil. with work on Johann Georg Siehl-Freystett . 2003–2004 he was a visiting professor at the University of Kalmar (Sweden). In 2008 he retired from teaching at the university, but continues to work on paintings and sculptures.

In 2010 he realized two church windows for the Heppenser Church based on designs by Tina Asche .

The works Portrait Fritz Höger (2011), Hol über (2012) and Himmelsstürmer (2015) were created in connection with residential construction projects in Wilhelmshaven .

The PAKT app, published in 2012 with an introductory essay by Gert Selle, contains numerous images as well as biographical data in tabular form.

He set up installations with three oversized cross nails in 2015 in the Christ and Garrison Church (Wilhelmshaven) and the Delmenhorster City Church and in 2016 in St. Marien (Schillig) and the Lambertikirche (Oldenburg) .
