Hartwig Bambamius (lawyer)

Hartwig Bambamius (* around 1620 in Wismar ; † 1688 in Hamburg ) was a German lawyer and senior senior secretary of the Hanseatic city of Hamburg.

Life

Born in Wismar, Bambamius was matriculated at the University of Rostock in May 1635 , studied law and became a court administrator in Otterndorf . Later he went to the University of Leiden and received his doctorate here on April 23, 1664 for Doctor of Law . Bambamius was elected senior senior secretary for the late Jakob von Anthen in Hamburg and was sworn in before the Senate on August 28, 1678 . Bambamius held this office until his death in 1688. His successor was the previous judge at the Hamburg lower court, Johannes Tecklenburg .

family

Bambamius had a son, Johann, who also studied law and died as a lawyer in Hamburg in 1699 . His son was the preacher to Sankt Petri Hartwig Bambamius (1685–1742).
