The Haselbach (also Großer Haselbach and Haselgrabenbach ) is an approximately 13.9 km long left tributary of the Danube , or of the artificially created Urfahr collecting channel formed by the Theseleitenbach , in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria .

Run and landscape

The Große Haselbach rises in the village of Althellmonsödt in the municipality of Hellmonsödt . It flows through the Haselgraben to the south, where smaller streams flow from left and right. The small Haselbach, which rises on the northern slope of the Lichtenberg on the border between Eidenberg and Kirchschlag, flows out to the right at the Speichmühle on the municipal boundary between Kirchschlag near Linz and Linz . From the Speichmühle the Haselbach flows along Leonfeldener Straße to Linz to Marienberg, then along this street and Jägerstätterstraße. It crosses under Ferdinand-Markl-Straße at the St. Magdalena tram loop and flows along Galvanistraße and Biesenfeldweg and then crosses under Freistädter Straße . Further south it crosses under the Mühlkreis Autobahn , where immediately afterwards it flows into the Theseleitenbach as a collecting channel. The Haselbach flowed into the Danube around here until the Abwind power plant was built . At Marienberg the Kirchmühlbach is diverted, which joins the Kirchmühlstrasse again. Further down at the Pulvermühlstrasse the Pulvermühlbach is diverted, which also joins the Haselbach below.
