Hatto Klamt (born February 16, 1936 in Neumünster ) is a German philologist , reserve officer and local politician ( CDU ).

Life

Klamt's father was a railroad worker from Upper Silesia . Klamt attended the Holstenschule in Neumünster and the grammar school in Bad Bramstedt . After graduating from high school, he studied philosophy , education , Latin and history at the University of Hamburg and, from 1963, Protestant theology at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . As senior director of studies , he built the Alexander von Humboldt School as the fourth Neumünster grammar school from 1974 in the Einfeld district . He ran the school until his retirement in 2001. Klamt was a member of the Neumünster City Council for 42 years (1966–2008) . He belonged to the magistrate as an honorary department head of Stadtwerke Neumünster (1970–1978) and honorary department head for fire protection , rescue services and disaster control (1978–1996). He was then deputy mayor (1996-2003) and finally mayor (2003-2008). As a reserve officer, he was last lieutenant colonel d. R. at the Panzer Brigade 18 in Boostedt . During his student days in Kiel he was a member of the Kiel Corps Palaiomarchia-Masovia in 1956/57 . Since 2005 he has been involved in the Corps Masovia Königsberg in Potsdam as a “conviction prussian” .

Honors

From 1982 to 2010 first chairman of TS Einfeld von 1921 eV , he is now honorary chairman of the association.

Klamt is the recipient of the Caspar von Saldern Medal of Merit of the city of Neumünster.

The CDU district association Neumünster elected him an honorary board member.

The North German Schützenbund awarded him the medal of thanks and recognition in gold .
