Hau'oli Kikaha (* 24. July 1992 in Laie , Hawaii as Hau'oli Jamora ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL) and in the XFL . He played as a linebacker with the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Renegades .

college

Kikaha, born as Hauʻoli Jamora - he changed his name at the age of 21 - attended the University of Washington and played for their team, the Huskies, in various positions in defense . Although he was out with two cruciate ligament tears for a long time, he was able to set a total of 206 tackles and achieve 35.5 sacks .

NFL

Kikaha was selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft as the 44th overall by the New Orleans Saints . He was able to establish himself immediately and appeared in 15 games in his rookie season, 10 times even as a starter . He personally performed well, but could not prevent the Saints defense from remaining the worst in the league - as in the previous year.

On June 9, 2016, he tore another cruciate ligament while preparing for the season and was out for the entire 2016 season.
In the newly formed defense in 2017, he was used in 11 games, with four sacks.
Just before the start of the 2018 season, Kikaha was sacked by the Saints.

XFL

In October 2019 he was drafted by the Dallas Renegades for the re-established professional league XFL . Although he was used regularly and was able to perform well, Kikaha announced his resignation after only three games for unspecified personal reasons. He decidedly did not want to rule out a later comeback.
