The Havel Queen is a river - passenger ship of the shipping company Star and Kreisschiffahrt that in 1988 in the German industry works in Berlin-Spandau was built. Since then it has been in use as a day excursion ship on the Havel , Tegeler See and part of the Oder-Havel Canal .

The ship for a maximum of 700 passengers, but on average 350, was modeled on the outside of a side paddle steamer at the request of the client . However, the wheels are not used for propulsion, but run along with the vehicle for decoration . They are driven by two electric motors with an output of 18 kW each.

The ship is propelled with modern MAN diesel engines and conventionally with two propellers . The Havel Queen houses a salon with 148 seats, a café with 70 seats, a lower or small salon with 136 seats and a bar for 40 people. The motor ship also offers seats and loungers on a sun deck. An elevator facilitates almost barrier-free use. In addition to the fixed routes and times on the Oberhavel lakes, the Havel Queen can also be booked for events and then seated as required.

The ship is approved for SUK zone 4.
