Sidney Hayers
Sidney Hayers (born August 24, 1921 in Edinburgh , Scotland , † February 8, 2000 in Altea , Spain ) was a Scottish film director , film editor , film producer and screenwriter .
biography
Hayers began working in film in the early 1940s , as a sound assistant and camera assistant .
In 1958, Hayers began working as a second unit director and film editor , including on the Oscar-winning film The Last Night of the Titanic .
He directed, wrote screenplays and produced until two years before his death . He died in the presence of his wife, the Austrian film actress Erika Remberg to cancer .
