Hebi ( Chinese  鹤壁 市 , Pinyin Hèbì Shì ) is a district-free city in the Henan Province of the People's Republic of China . Hebi has an area of ​​2,299 km² and approx. 1.57 million inhabitants (end of 2010). The city is located in a mountainous area and is the seat of a Catholic bishop . Putonghua is spoken in Hebi .

Administrative structure

At the district level, Hebi is made up of three city ​​districts and two districts. These are:

  • District Qibin (淇滨区), km² 295, 140,000 inhabitants, center, seat of the city government;
  • Shancheng District (山 城区), 176 km², 250,000 inhabitants;
  • Heshan District (鹤山 区), 159 km², 130,000 inhabitants;
  • Xun County (浚县), 1,088 km², 680,000 inhabitants, capital: Chengguan Municipality (城关 镇);
  • District Qi (淇县), 581 km², 260,000 inhabitants, main town: large community Chaoge (朝歌 镇).
