Xuchang ( Chinese  许昌市 , pinyin Xǔchāng Shì ) is a prefecture-level city in the province of Henan of China . Xuchang has an area of ​​4,977 km² and approx. 4.31 million inhabitants (end of 2010).

Administrative structure

At the county level, Xuchang consists of two city ​​districts , two districts and two independent cities. These are:

  • Weidu district (魏 都 区), 67 km², 380,000 inhabitants, center, seat of the city government;
  • Jian'an District (建安 区), 1,002 km², 800,000 inhabitants;
  • Yanling district (鄢陵 县), 866 km², 620,000 inhabitants, main town: Anling community (安 陵镇);
  • Xiangcheng County (襄城 县), 920 km², 780,000 inhabitants, capital: Chengguan Township (城关 镇);
  • Yuzhou City (禹 州市), 1,472 km², 1.19 million inhabitants;
  • City of Changge (长葛 市), 650 km², 690,000 inhabitants.
