Hecht is a Swiss rock pop band that sings in dialect.

Band history

Stefan Buck and Christoph Schröter come from the Lucerne Seetal and have known each other since they were young. Together with Rolf Furrer they founded the band "Seng" around 2000. For a long time they played English music that they wrote themselves. In the early 2010s they started trying Swiss dialect .

The band comes from Lucerne , although the band members now live in Zurich .

In 2011 the band was expanded to include Philipp Morscher and Daniel Gisler and renamed Hecht . Her first dialect song Dancer and the song 24 Bilder appeared in the same year, as did the EP Revier Songs . As support from Baschi and 77 Bombay Street , they gained further notoriety. They produced the debut album Wer zerscht s'Meer gsehd and it was released in May 2012. It reached number 72 on the Swiss charts . At the Swiss Music Awards they were then named Best Talent National .

In 2015 they delivered the official song for SRF moves , a week-long health campaign by Swiss radio (SRF 1 and SRF 3) with the Swiss federal offices for health, sport and energy.

On August 28, 2015, Hecht released their second album Adam + Eva . It rose to number 5 on the album charts. On March 9, 2018, the band's third album, Oh Boy, was released, which reached number 2 on the charts. Radio Pilatus wrote: "Dry riffs, catchy dialect texts and melodies that inevitably cling to your memory ... this also applies to your latest work 'Oh Boy'."

Hecht's trademarks are their originally designed music videos and energetic concert recap videos. The band members also stand out for their dance interludes and rehearsed choreographies at concerts and in music videos. Among other things, Hecht works with the Zurich film producer Claude Gabriel, who also made the last two music videos for the song "Heicho" and "Kawasaki".
