Hector Science Award
Since 2009, the Hector Foundation II has awarded the married couple Hans-Werner and Josephine Hector the Hector Science Prize of 150,000 euros annually. The prize is awarded to professors from German universities and research institutions from the MINT fields for "their outstanding research achievements, their commitment to teaching and the promotion of young scientists and their overarching contribution to the further development of teaching, science or their university".
The award winners are appointed Hector Fellows and accepted as members of the Hector Fellow Academy .
