The WTA Championships 2016 (also known as BNP Paribas WTA Finals - Singapore 2016 ) were the women's tennis tournament with the highest endowment in terms of points and prize money (after the four Grand Slam tournaments) as part of the WTA Tour 2016 . The hard court tournament took place from October 23-30, 2016 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium .

The previous year's winners in Singapore were Agnieszka Radwańska in singles and Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza in doubles.
