Hopman Cup 2016

The Hopman Cup in 2016 was the 28th edition of the tennis tournament in Australia's Perth . He was from 3. – 9. January 2016. For the first time since its inception, a nation - host country Australia - played with two teams. The defending champion was the team from Poland, which was not invited in 2016. For the second time a team from Australia, consisting of Darja Gavrilowa and Nick Kyrgios, won .

Casey Dellacqua withdrew her participation before the tournament began and was replaced by Jarmila Wolfe .
Karolína Plíšková replaced Lucie Šafářová at the tournament, as it became known in late December, as she still had to recover from an abdominal muscle injury.
Kenny de Schepper replaced Gaël Monfils before the start of the tournament .
Serena Williams only played one match and was otherwise replaced by Victoria Duval because she was struggling with knee problems.
