Hedwig Jungblut-Bergenthal (born December 12, 1914 in Schmallenberg ; † April 12, 1987 , ibid) was a German dialect author and poet.

Life

Hedwig Bergenthal had two sisters and five brothers. The daughter of Heinrich and Theresia Bergenthal, née Hennemann, was born in Schmallenberg. After attending the fee-based advanced school, which she had to finish prematurely due to her father's unemployment, an apprenticeship followed with the Jewish Funke family, who later had to flee to America from the National Socialists. She then worked for several years as a dental technician in Schmallenberg. She published her work from 1948. She later shaped the Heimat papers with editorial articles and poems. After marrying Paul Jungblut in 1958, she moved to Frankfurt and later to Hameln . In 1964 they both returned to Schmallenberg. Hedwig Jungblut-Bergenthal died at the age of 72 in Schmallenberg.

The dialect author was active in many projects and working groups for the maintenance of dialect, including in the Sauerland Heimatbund , in the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe and in the Westphalian Heimatbund . Your lyrics in Sauerländer Platt are to be assigned to the cheerful genre at the beginning. The author later dealt with the Nazi past and social issues.
