Hedwig Matuschek

Hedwig Matuschek (born September 1, 1903 in Gleiwitz ; † September 16, 1992 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Hedwig Matuschek attended business school after graduating from upper secondary school. Until 1948 she was the clerk for personnel and administration at the fire society of the province of Saxony in Magdeburg . For political reasons she had to flee to the West in 1948, where she became an office manager at an auditing and tax consultancy company in Giessen .

politics

Hedwig Matuschek joined the CDU in Magdeburg in August 1945 and was a city councilor there. After fleeing from 1953 to 1961, she was a member of the main board of the exile CDU and head of the women's committee of the exile CDU. In the CDU Hessen she was a member of the women's committee of the CDU Hessen, 1960 to 1971 member of the state executive committee of the CDU Hessen and chairwoman of the CDU women's association Hessen. From 1965 to 1972 she worked as the chairwoman of the municipal commission of the German section of the European Women's Union and from 1967 to 1979 as treasurer of the Office for Civic Women’s Work in Wiesbaden.

From 1960 to 1968 member of the Wetzlar district council , from December 1, 1958 to November 30, 1966, member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1964 she was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly .
