The Army Aviation Brigade 3 (HFlgBrig 3), based in Mendig, was a brigade of the German Armed Forces that was disbanded on December 31, 2007 and ultimately no longer led any troops. The helicopter regiments of Army Aviation Brigade 3 had been subordinate to the Air Mobile Operations Division since January 1, 2007 .
coat of arms
The coat of arms showed a white griffin with a red lightning bolt / arrow in its claws on a blue background. The depiction of the eagle was similar to the depiction of the eagle in the division coat of arms of the Airmobile Operations Division . The small silver wheel stood for the association's transport tasks.

Heeresfliegerbrigade 3 led the deployment of the air transport forces of the Army in operational flight operations for the armed forces as well as in the extended range of tasks of the Bundeswehr as well as for the operational flight training of the regiments.
