The NBC Defense Brigade 100 with headquarters in Bruchsal was one of six combat support and logistics brigades of the Army Command in the Army of the Future (2002–2007) and led a large part of the NBC defense forces of the Army . The brigade entered service in 2002 and decommissioned at the end of 2007.
Association badge
The association badge (sleeve badge) showed two crossed swords on a black, red, and blue background in the coat of arms and resembled the association badge of the army command except for the border. The crossed swords represented the army troops. The color black symbolized the engineering corps, red the artillery , Heeresflugabwehr- and the NBC defense troops . Blue stood for the logistics team . The weapon colors of the subordinate troops in the division-equivalent army troop command were shown in the coat of arms. All brigades formerly subordinate to the army troop command had an identical badge except for the border, which was usually bordered in the respective weapon color, here for the NBC defense red.

Before the dissolution began (around the beginning of 2005), the brigade was divided as follows:

- light NBC defense company 120, Sonthofen (commissioned October 1, 2004)
- NBC Defense Battalion 7 , Höxter
- NBC Defense Battalion 110, not active, Emden
- NBC Defense Training Battalion 210, Sonthofen (subordinate to the brigade since July 1, 2003)
- NBC Defense Battalion 310, not active in Zweibrücken (subordinate to the brigade since January 1, 2003)
- NBC Defense Battalion 410, not active
- NBC Defense Battalion 610, Albersdorf
- NBC Defense Battalion 750 , Bruchsal (subordinated to the brigade since January 1, 2003)
- NBC Defense Battalion 705, Bad Düben
- NBC Defense Battalion 805, Prenzlau

In the course of the reclassification of the army troop command into a brigade equivalent, the NBC Defense Brigade 100 was dissolved by December 2007. Parts of the brigade remain as a light NBC defense company 120 and as NBC defense battalion 750 (raised to a regiment on July 1, 2007 with the involvement of staff and headquarters company NBC Abwehrbrigade 100 and renamed NBC defense regiment 750 "Baden") with the new "Army Troop Command ". The light NBC defense company 110 and NBC defense battalion 7 (roll call on November 28, 2005) switched to the 1st Panzer Division . The NBC Abwehrbataillon 110 (dissolved on May 31, 2007), the NBC Abwehrlehrbataillon 210 (dissolved on March 31, 2005), the NBC Abwehrbataillon 310, Zweibrücken (dissolved March 1997), the NBC Abwehrbataillon 410, the NBC Defense Battalion 610, NBC Defense Battalion 705 and NBC Defense Battalion 805 (dissolved on September 30, 2007).
