The NBC Defense Battalion 750 "Baden" ( ABCAbwBtl 750 ) is a battalion of the NBC defense force in the armed forces base and is subordinate to the NBC defense command of the Bundeswehr . From January 1, 2007 to March 31, 2014 it was called the ABC Abwehrregiment 750 ( ABCABwRgt 750 ). The association supports the Bundeswehr associations with its specific abilities in the area of NBC defense . These skills are not only used in foreign missions by the Bundeswehr , such as in Kosovo with KFOR or in Afghanistan with ISAF , but also in the context of administrative assistance at home. The NBC Defense Battalion 750 “Baden” was deployed at the 2005 World Youth Day , the 2006 World Cup and in connection with the H5N1 bird flu on Rügen in 2006.
The battalion with around 800 soldiers stationed in the General-Dr.-Speidel-Kaserne continues a tradition of more than 40 years of the NBC defense force in the garrison town of Bruchsal . There are sponsorships of individual companies to the neighboring communities of Forst , Helmsheim , Karlsdorf-Neuthard and Staffort .

The battalion supports other large organizations , especially the stabilization forces in defending against the effects of nuclear , biological and chemical weapons through:

Since April 1, 2014, the association has also had a special NBC defense response train and a fire protection train. In addition, he keeps forces in force for military evacuation operations to rescue German citizens abroad in permanent readiness. In addition to the NBC defense-specific tasks already described, the battalion also takes on the tasks of an economic unit at the location. history
As part of a reorganization of the Bundeswehr, the Bruchsal-based NBC Defense Battalion 210 was renamed the NBC Defense Battalion 750 on April 1, 1980. On October 1, 1985, the battalion was reclassified into an equipment unit . On April 1, 1993, it was "reactivated" as the 750 NBC Defense Battalion in the Dragoon Barracks. The first soldiers came from the NBC Defense Training Center 911 and the NBC Defense Training Company 10, which were disbanded with the establishment of the NBC Defense Battalion 750.
After that, the battalion for the peacekeeping operation comprised 587 soldiers, who were divided between five companies ( staff and supply company , three operational companies and one field replacement company ). At the end of 1994, all companies moved to the Eichelberg barracks in Bruchsal , which later became General-Dr. Speidel barracks was renamed. On January 1, 2007, the NBC Defense Battalion 750 grew due to a restructuring to the NBC Defense Regiment 750 to around 1200 soldiers and has since consisted of seven companies.
As part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr, the capabilities of the NBC defense force were transferred from the army to the armed forces base on April 1, 2013, and the regiment was placed under the newly established NBC defense command of the Bundeswehr. Since the reclassification to the NBC Defense Battalion 750 on April 1, 2014, the association only comprises six companies with around 800 soldiers.
