Heide Streiter-Buscher

Heide Streiter-Buscher , maiden name Buscher (born September 14, 1938 in Remscheid ) is a German literary historian and academic journalist . She works as a fontane researcher.

Life

Buscher was born in 1938 as the daughter of a higher regional judge in Remscheid. She attended schools in Bockenem and Düsseldorf . After graduating from the Cecilien-Gymnasium in Düsseldorf in 1958 , she studied German , art history and classical archeology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the University of Cologne and the Philipps University of Marburg . In 1968 she was with Horst Rüdiger at the Philosophical Faculty in Bonn with the dissertation The function of the minor characters in Fontane's novels. With special consideration of "Before the Storm" and "Der Stechlin" for Dr. phil. PhD. Then she worked as a publishing editor . Today she works as a scientific journalist in Bonn. She published u. a. in the yearbook of the German Schiller Society and in the writings of the Theodor Storm Society . In 1992 she co-founded the Theodor-Fontane-Kreis in Rhineland with Bettina Plett . Streiter-Buscher is researching writers for the Theodor Fontane Society in Neuruppin and is the editor of several correspondence.
