The Heidenbach is an almost one and a half kilometer long, northern and left tributary of the Fecht in the Vosges in the area of the Alsatian town of Munster .

course

The Heidenbach rises at an altitude of about 558  m in the Central Vosges in a mixed forest just under half a kilometer northeast of the Munster village of Haslach.

It initially flows in a southerly direction through a narrow valley that is overgrown with mixed deciduous forest on the slopes to the right and left. He then moves east along the foot of the 545  m high Narrenstein , then passes the village named after him . He now runs west past the Galgenberg and then reaches the northern edge of Munster. There it flows along a cemetery and disappears shortly after verdolt underground.

It still crosses Départementsstraße 417 , here called Route de Gunsbach , and finally, coming from the north, flows into Munster at an altitude of about 365  m underground piped directly opposite the La Piscine adventure pool from the left into the Fecht approaching from the south-west .
