Heidrun Hegewald
Heidrun Hegewald (born October 21, 1936 in Meißen ) is a German painter , graphic artist , draftsman and author .
Life
She experienced her childhood and school education in Meißen and Dresden. From 1955, Hegewald first studied fashion design at the Engineering School for the Clothing Industry in Berlin, then from 1958 to 1960 graphics at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . From 1960 to 1971 she worked as a freelance graphic artist in the field of illustration and book design. In 1961 she had her son Gregor. From 1967 to 1993 she was a member of the VBK of the GDR . From 1971 to 1974 she was a master class student with Werner Klemke at the Academy of Arts of the GDR . During this time she was also enrolled as a guest student at the Humboldt University in Berlin with Wolfgang Heise on the history of philosophy and aesthetics. From 1978 to 1988 she was a member of the central board and the presidium of the VBK of the GDR and of the Berlin district board of the VBK.
She has been working as a freelance painter, graphic artist and draftsman since 1975, and has also been a journalist since 1976. She lives in Berlin-Karow . According to her own statement, her concern is an engaging art , committed to the dialogic principle .

Hegewald also illustrated and designed numerous books, including Peter Hacks : The Flea Market (1965) and The Shoe and the Flying Princess (1966), The Fist Glove (1974), Bruno Apitz : Esther (1988) and Holde-Barbara Ulrich “Come to me . It's cold ” .
