Heiko Kasseckert (born March 21, 1970 in Hanau ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is a member of the Hessian state parliament in the 19th electoral term.

Life

Heiko Kasseckert completed an apprenticeship as a social security clerk at Barmer . Before starting his state parliament mandate, he worked as a freelance consultant for municipalities and companies. He is married and has two children.

politics

Heiko Kasseckert belongs to the CDU Hessen and holds several party offices. From 1996 to 2008 he was mayor of Langenselbold . At the time of his election, Kasseckert was Germany's youngest mayor. Since 2001 he has been a member of the district council of the Main-Kinzig district . In the election to the district administrator of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis in 2005, he was narrowly defeated by Erich Pipa (SPD). Kasseckert had been a member of the Frankfurt / Rhein-Main regional association since 2001 . Here he took over the office of first deputy in 2008 and from 2010 the office of director. He was dismissed from this office after the change in the majority in the 2011 local elections . The office of the association director was grouped into salary group B 8 of salary order B. Kasseckert and his alderman Matthias Drexelius sued against their deselection.

After the 2013 election, he succeeded in entering the Hessian state parliament as a directly elected member of the Main-Kinzig II constituency . He was also elected in the constituency in the 2018 election.
