Holy Cross (Schönbrunn)
The Catholic branch church and former Hofmarkskirche Heilig Kreuz in Schönbrunn , a district of the municipality Röhrmoos in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau , was built in 1723/24 on the site of the Katharinenkirche, which has been occupied since 1315. The church at Kirchweg 4, in the middle of the cemetery, is a protected architectural monument .
architecture
In the central building by Johann Baptist Gunetzrhainer , only the basket-arched apse and the half-recessed transverse rectangular tower in the south with a four-sided curved hood and lantern as well as the entrance portal emerge from the rectangular floor plan . The sacristy , oratorios and ancillary rooms are located in the corner rooms. The room is covered with a flat dome over a pilaster structure emphasizing the corners with Corinthian capitals and high entablature .
The band work was probably made by Charles Claude Dubut . The ceiling fresco by the Munich court painter Balthasar Augustin Albrecht from 1724 depicts the veneration of the cross.
Furnishing
The equipment with three altars comes from the time it was built.
