Holy Sepulcher Gate
The Holy Grabestor, better known as Mary's Spring (following the example of Marie tomb in the Kidron Valley in Jerusalem ), a source version of the Templin street near the entrance to Caputh in Templin , in the city of Potsdam belonging forest Forst Potsdam South . history
In 1852, the architect was August Stüler by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Commissioned a Wildtränke following the example of Marie tomb in the Kidron Valley (in Jerusalem to build). With this building the king wanted to express his enthusiasm for Jerusalem. A gate (or so-called portal ) in an early Gothic display wall or, more precisely, two flat pointed arches resting on columns in a triple-edged (pointed arch) entrance with a rectangular frame - probably mainly made locally - was then attached to the Marienquelle , located in a small depression Bricks (see also Glindow Brickwork Museum ) - erected.
