Heiner Legewie

Heiner Legewie (born April 9, 1937 in Dorsten ) is a German psychologist and university professor .

Life

After attending elementary school and the humanistic grammar school in Dorsten, Legewie began studying medicine and psychology at the University of Tübingen in 1957 . In 1960 he moved to the University of Hamburg , where in 1961, he earned a degree in psychology and 1965, the medical school with state examination and graduation to Dr. med. completed.

Legewie became a research assistant at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Düsseldorf in 1965 ; In 1967 he moved to the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich . Also in 1967 he was appointed doctor . 1968 Legewie at the University of Dusseldorf with the work personality theory and psychotropic drugs: critical studies of Eysenck drugs postulate to Dr. phil. doctorate, in 1975 he received his habilitation and the license to teach psychology from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

In 1977 Legewie accepted a professorship for clinical psychology and health psychology at the Technical University of Berlin , which he held until his retirement in 2002. Since 2002 he has been doing research and teaching at the Center for Technology and Society at the Technical University of Berlin. In addition, Legewie was visiting professor at the Università degli Studi di Palermo in 2004 and from 2005 to 2006 lecturer in the interdisciplinary master’s program in Community Management at the Università Federico II - Fondazione Mediterraneo a Napoli .

Research priorities

Legewie deals with community psychology, with health promotion in organizations, cities, the environment and technology development. He also works on methods of qualitative social research and computer-aided methods of qualitative knowledge management .
