Heinrich-Hermann Ulrich

Heinrich-Hermann Otto Fritz Kurt Ulrich (born July 14, 1914 in Schmedenstedt , † November 10, 1983 in Stuttgart ) was a German theologian and director of the Diakonisches Werk .

Life

Ulrich was ordained in 1940 and was a pastor in the service of the Brunswick Church until he took office in the Diakonisches Werk in 1956. For many years he was director of the theological department of the headquarters of the EKD's Inner Mission and Aid Organization (Diakonie) and managing director of the Missionary Services Working Group (AMD ) in Stuttgart and Secretary General of the Evangelical Conference for Telephone Pastoral Care .
He was also a member of the ZDF television council from 1962 to 1982 .

Ulrich is the author of numerous books and articles on theological issues, mostly contributions to work and problems within the church, diakonia and ecumenism .

During the 1960s, Ulrich was eavesdropped by his aunt, the linguist Gertrud Pätsch , for the Ministry of State Security of the GDR .
