Alfred Reiter

Alfred Reiter (born December 1965 in Augsburg ) is a German opera singer with a bass voice . He has been an ensemble member of the Frankfurt Opera since 2008 and has made guest appearances in opera houses and concert halls around the world.

life and work

After completing church music studies , Reiter studied singing at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. In 1993 he became a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera , where he was taught by Astrid Varnay , among others . He also studied privately with Hans Hotter .

Engagements at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden and at the State Theater in Nuremberg followed . At these houses the singer was able to develop a broad repertoire, which ranges from Monteverdi to Mozart, Beethoven, Verdi, Wagner and Puccini to contemporary works.
